Education District IV of Lagos State has cemented its reputation as a powerhouse of academic and extracurricular excellence, securing top positions in national and international competitions.

Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Segun Osinaike, the district has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance in science, technology, and sports.

The district’s impressive achievements reflect a deep commitment to quality education and innovative learning approaches, according to Mr. Olanrewaju L.O., Desk Officer in charge of Environment and STEM. Notably, Wesley Girls’ Senior Secondary School excelled in the 2023 and 2024 Stockholm Water Prize Project, winning back-to-back awards in Lagos State, nationally, and representing Nigeria internationally in Sweden.

Education District IV also made history at the World Robots Olympiad (WRO) in Turkey, where New Era Girls Junior Secondary School emerged as the overall best in Lagos State with a record 120 points. The district’s dominance extended to athletics, clinching 1st position at the 2024/2025 Lagos State School Sports Festival in the Under-15 category.

The district’s achievements are a testament to the dedication and hard work of its teachers, staff, and students. As Mrs. Rose, Desk Officer for Guidance and Counselling, noted, these accomplishments stem from effective leadership, strategic planning, and a deep commitment to excellence in all areas of education.
