Bet9ja NLO Super 8: Enyimba Feeders in a thrilling draw against FRSC

Enyimba Feeders forced their way to earn a deserving 1-1 draw against FRSC of Abuja in a thrilling opening game of the Bet9ja Nigeria Nationwide League One Super 8 played on Tuesday at the Agege Township Stadium, Lagos.

The “Road Marshalls”‘ from Abuja took an early lead courtsey of well taken free kick goal taken by Olayinka Yusuf in the 5th minute of the game and this propelled the team from Aba to raise their game in search of an equaliser , but they failed to convert their numerous chances they created as the first half ended with the Aba boys trailing behind 1-0.

However, on resumption in the second half, Enyimba Feeders team continued piling pressure on FRSC and their efforts became fruitful when Paschal Eze levelled scores to calm the nerves of Lawrence Ukaegbu, the technical director of the team , who was on his feet throughout dishing out instructions from the sidelines.

Enyimba Feeders intensified their efforts to score  another goal, but it was FRSC that threatened more in goal with their counter attacks as the game one goal apiece.

In a chat with the www.nigerianationwideleague.com in Lagos after the game, the chief coach of the FRSC,  Akinade Onigbinde said he was a bit frustrated with the fact that his players failed to convert the chances they created through counter attacks and he was not happy with the draw.

” I am somehow sad with the scoreline. i did not  like the  fact that we drew the game.I believe we will come out strong in our next game” Onigbinde said.

His counterpart from the technical bench of Enyimba Feeders , Lawrence Ukaegbu was of the firm opinion too that his players would have carried the day, but he was happy that the instructions given at half time worked to earn an equaliser in the game.

” I felt that this was a game we would have won despite conceeding an early goal. I am glad that we were still able to rescue a point by equalising early in the second half after i gave them pep talk in the dressing room, yet i felt we would have won the game” Ukaegbu said.

The Bet9ja NLO Super 8 continues today with A.S Racine of Lagos trading tackles against FRSC of Abuja.
