…Harps On Community Development
Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, in Lagos state, has urged the community members to always love and forgive one another for peace to reign in the neighborhood.
Ogunsanwo told the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) in Epe, on Friday.
Alara sued Epe community for peace coexistence and harps on community development for socioeconomic improvement of the ancient community.
The traditional ruler added that such development would provide job employment for the youths and also boost the standard of living.
Ogunsanwo mentioned some of the infrastructure projects he has facilitated into Ilara kingdom as; school buildings for pupils, community health centre, modern market, tourism and cultural infrastructure, youth empowerment, poverty alleviation scheme, bilateral relationship with international organisations, among several others.
He said that he became the Alara of Ilara with the blessing of Almighty God, saying that nothing could be achieved without God approval.
He added that, “God loves us and we should love one another because no matter the number of years we spent on earth, It is short compared to our life span we will spent in the hereafter.
He therefore, appeal to all community members, political and religious leaders, youths and residents to live in peace, harmony and in unity.
“I urge community members to shun evil deeds and sins and be of good character, ” he said.
He advised Nigerian leaders to be of good character, always be grateful and contented with what God gave them.
The traditional ruler appeals to political leaders to assist the less privileges and not to look down upon the poor, saying that “God is always with those who spend in His mighty name.
He called on the political office holders to always seek advice from traditional rulers and the people at the grassroots for them to succeed.
Ogunsanwo prayed for all the newly appointed Nigeria ministers and other elected office holders for God to protect and guide them aright.
“The situation of Nigeria calls for prayers, as we will continue to pray for our leaders and representatives for God to guide them aright.
“Everyone should be each other keepers. The country shall be better someday, ” he said.
Ogunsanwo appreciated all the dignitries and community members that attended his just concluded third coronation anniversary, May we all witness more of such anniversary on the land of the living.
He added that during his period of reigns on his forefathers throne, the community would witness tremendous infrastructure development and government present.
