Ango Pledges Govt’s Support To Man ‘O’ War Nasarawa

Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Nasarawa State, Hon. Jafaru Ango, has assured personnel of Man ‘O’ War, a voluntary security outfit operating in the State, that Government would collaborate with them to carry out the task of supporting Government’s Security Agencies to safeguard lives and properties in the State.

The Commissioner stated this when he played host to the State Commander of the Man ‘O’ War headed by Joel Attah, at the Ministry in Lafia, on Tuesday.

According to the Commissioner, “We will understudy your requests to us and we will take necessary action for our general good.

“We are not unaware of your numerous contributions towards curbing criminalities in our State.

“As the Chairman of the NYSC Governing Board in the State, I equally commend your Organisation for taking the burden of training prospective Corps Members posted to the State for their Orientation Course. I admire your passion and poise for your job.

“You have come with lofty requests, and we assure you that we will contact the appropriate authorities to enable you achieve some of your goals, if not all.”

He explained that part of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration’s mantra for the State is provision of adequate security for lives and properties.

In his address, the State Commander of Man ‘O’ War, Joel Attah, said the visit was to congratulate the Commissioner and Permanent Secretary on their appointments by Governor Abdullahi Sule and subsequent posting to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.

He said the visit was also to acquaint themselves with the Ministry and seek areas of mutual benefit for both Organizations for the overall benefit of the State and her people.

Permanent Secretary, Barr. Isaac Danladi thanked the delegation for the visit and urged them to sustain the tempo of providing adequate security of lives and property at their immediate vicinity, adding that nothing functions under the atmosphere of rancour.
